Jesus Christ is our armour and our light.
Hey there. My name is Isa, and I started this blog for a few reasons --the first being I love to write, and I love my Savior Christ Jesus. So why not write about Him? Secondly, it has always been a dream of mine to reach people from all walks of life and invite them to explore Christianity through reading and open conversation. These articles not only serve to disciple and inform, but also to invite discussion and friendly debate. You'll find a number of topics here. Studies on passages of Scripture, theological topics, apologetic issues, worldviews, devotionals, and common topics of debate are just a few. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" Genesis 1:1, ESV. God created the world in six literal days, exactly as described in the historical narrative of Genesis. On the sixth day he created humans, male and female, in His image. From this moment on, God would use humanity to fulfill his plan for the universe, all for His glory.
fall.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word as with God and the Word was God" John 1:1, ESV. God is the perfect, triune, and all-mighty king of the universe. Three in one, Father, Son, Spirit. In the garden, Adam and Eve sinned, separating humanity from our perfect creator. We are all inherently sinful and in need of a Savior. None on this earth can save himself.
redemption.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16, ESV. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth as a man to walk out the perfect life that humanity could not. Without sin, He died upon a cross a brutal death, taking all our sin with him. Through death Christ defeated death, through perfect love he gave us salvation, so that whoever confesses Him as their Savior will indeed be saved. Not by our works, only by His; not through our perfection, but through His.
new creation.
"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Revelation 22:12-13, ESV. With Christ's ascension into heaven came His promise of return. In the meantime, He commissioned Christians to go out and proclaim the good news of his salvation. At the end of the days of this earth, He shall return, brining His people into eternal glory with the Father.
